What does "on hold" mean?
By emailing a firm commitment to purchase, the watch will be placed on hold for
you. Payment is expected within 5 days after hold is placed.
Does Losttimes.com ship internationally?
Yes, Losttimes.com ships internationally. The buyer should confirm all purchase
arrangements by clicking the "ask a
question" link below each item description. International payments shall be made
by bank wire transfer. Please note that Losttimes.com is not responsible for any
customs, duty or VAT charges that may be incurred during international shipping.
How does Losttimes.com ship my order?
Losttimes.com ships all orders, unless otherwise stated, within 48 hours after
payment. FedEx is our carrier of choice so please, no PO box address's for
shipping.
I want to purchase a vintage watch but what if its condition is unacceptable
once received?
You may return any watch, for any reason, within 5 days after receiving it for a
full refund minus shipping, handling and credit card transaction fees, if any,
assuming its returned in its sent condition. There is an additional 10%
restocking fee for all returned NEW watches. We suggest that all customer
questions be resolved with Losttimes.com BEFORE entering the shipping phase.

What if a watch is damaged during shipping?
All watches shipped by Losttimes.com carry full value insurance. All shipping
containers should be immediately inspected for damage upon receipt and in the
presence of the carrier. If damage exists, the buyer should immediately open and
inspect the contents in the presence of the carrier. If the watch is damaged, a
claim should be filed AT THAT TIME with the carrier. Following this procedure
will guarantee a quick handling of any damage claims. Losttimes.com will work
with you to process all claims.
Are all Losttimes.com watches authentic?
Losttimes.com only sells authentic watches. All brands advertised are factory
original and in some cases, factory authorized.
Do you service every watch?
No, not all vintage watches are serviced. When a watch has been serviced, it
will indicate same in the movement description. All serviced watches come with a
1 year limited warranty.
What does box and papers mean?
When a watch has its original chronometer certificate or some other identifying
factory paperwork plus its original box, it is said to have box and papers.
These can greatly increase the value of a vintage watch.
What does caliber and ebauche mean?
Caliber refers to a movements reference number often indicating size and
complexity. The term ebauche refers to the raw movement itself prior to
finishing and adjusting. As far back as the early 1920's, watch manufacturers
did not make their own raw movements. Instead, they would buy the raw movements
from ebauche producers (like Valjoux or ETA) in Switzerland and finish them
in-house.
What is the proper care of a vintage watch?
Limit a vintage watches exposure to water. Even if a watch has a water resistant
case, it is a good policy to protect the value of the watch by keeping it dry.
If a watch stops working properly, its time for a servicing. Losttimes.com can
arrange for professional servicing by qualified watchmakers. Turn around time is
normally 2 weeks unless otherwise stated.
